Starting school can be a daunting experience for children and their parents. This page will be updated when necessary during the remainder of term 4 to help you and your child get off to a great start at BEPS.
Prep Transition Program
The 2020 Prep Transition Program will be different from that of other years as we attempt to give all new students and their families a positive experience while being safe and socially responsible.
Transition sessions are on Tuesday, 8 December, and Wednesday, 16 December. The sessions will involve experiencing games and activities outside with other children and a visit to the Triciclo Learning Community. These sessions will also allow for the opportunity to ask questions, get information on other services, and meet other parents.
During these visits, we will welcome one adult on-site with each child. If you need to bring a younger sibling as well, they are also welcome.
The parents/carers of all enrolled students will receive an email invitation for both sessions.
To facilitate social distancing three different entrances will be used to minimise congestion. The map below shows the school grounds and all existing gates. On 8 and 16 December 2020, you come into the school through gates 2, 3, or 4. Your invitation will tell you which one you should use.
Gate 1; is the BEPS main front gate on Stewart Street.
Gate 2; is our ‘Out of School Hours Care’ (OSCH) gate on Stewart Street.
Gate 3; is adjacent to the oval on Cunnington Street.
Gate 4; is located on the laneway and opens directly onto the Play Equipment.
Gate 5; ‘Glenda’s Gate’ is at the back of the school on Nicholson Street and will be locked during prep transition sessions.
We look forward to meeting you all very soon.
